New from Walther is an upgraded version of one of the gunmaker’s already solid handguns—the PPS M2. Available in 9 mm Luger and .40 S&W (starting in Spring 2016), the M2 retains the slim and compact dimensions that helped make the original PPS a winner, yet includes several refinements that should make it even more popular with American shooters. The pistol’s grip texture has been completely redesigned to provide better purchase on the 21 oz. gun during recoil. The M1’s ambidextrous paddle magazine release has also been replaced with a reversible push-button release that many gun owners find to be more intuitive to use.
