Gun Talk Media’s "First Person Defender" web television series gives viewers a first-person perspective of what it’s like to find themselves in dangerous situations where they must react immediately and decisively in order to preserve their own lives and the lives of their loved ones. Buoyed by the success of its first season, First Person Defender picks up right where it left off with even more informative self-defense scenarios in Season 2.

First Person Defender takes regular people, with varying degrees of familiarity with firearms, and puts them into intense force-on-force self-defense scenarios using Simunition conversion kits and FX Marking Cartridges. Each episode starts out with the Defender roleplayers being subjected to an unknown scenario, after which their performances are evaluated. After consulting with the instructors regarding what worked, what didn’t work and a few things they should do differently next time to increase their odds of survival, the Defenders are run through a similar but different circumstance in order to put their instruction to use.

Season 1 of First Person Defender garnered more than 2.9 million views on YouTube. Self-defense scenarios covered in Season 1 include: the Defender encountering a car thief, the Defender attempting to survive an active shooter at work, the Defender being abducted from a parking lot, the Defender clearing a house of gun-wielding burglars and more. Each episode is approximately 15 minutes, and the first season was comprised of 15 episodes. First Person Defender is free for subscribers to Gun Talk Media’s YouTube channel, and the first season of the web series is also available for purchase as a DVD at shopguntalk.com.
