With a few tweaks to its basic MR556A1—the semi-automatic model of H&K's legendary HK416 carbine—Heckler & Koch has created an ideal competition gun. The Competition Model, shown in the range footage here with American Rifleman Editor-in-Chief Mark Keefe, is equipped with a new, extended 14-inch hand guard, which is produced by HK’s Newington, N.H., manufacturing facility. A Magpul CTR buttstock replaces the standard stock and an advanced compensator developed by Operators Suppressor Systems replaces the conventional MR flash hider. For more, visit HK-USA.com
