DPMS and breast cancer survivor Deb Cheek-one of the company's shooting team members-have teamed up to raise funds to help fight the devastating disease. Two hundred dollars from the sale of each DPMS Breast Cancer Survivor Signature Series AR-15 goes directly to the Breast Cancer Society.

undefinedOK, it is pink-and hardly a subtle shade, too. However, it will attract attention, which is part of the strategy that encourages us to "fight like a woman," and help DPMS target breast cancer.

Cheek, a lifelong shooter who started a gun store with her husband years ago, launched her 3-Gun career in 1999. In 2008, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, underwent surgery and was back on the firing line in less than a year. She's got fight, that's for sure.

The 5.56 NATO-chambered carbine has 1:9" rifling, a flattop receiver and retractable buttstock. It comes with that legendary DPMS quality, and has good reason to have strayed from the company's traditional color schemes.

It's a cool way to help find a cure, and if you have a gal on your holiday list who seems to have everything, it's a pretty safe bet she doesn't have a DPMS with this kind of color and attitude in her safe.
