Not too long ago the only semi-automatic Remington handguns you could find were manufactured in the 1920s. The company has continued to expand its revived M1911 line over the past few years, though, and the R1 Enhanced is one of the latest additions to the line.

Offering an adjustable rear sight, a fiber-optic front sight, an enhanced hammer, an 8-round magazine and other features, the R1 Enhanced takes a legendary design and gives it a very tactical feel—and it's certainly on par with the standards set by the Gun of the Week series.
