Hot on the heels of showcasing its new finish options during the 2011 NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits, SIG Sauer has announced two new 1911 options in time for the centennial of Browning's famous pistol: the SIG 1911 TACPAC and the SIG 1911-22.

The SIG 1911 TACPAC is an all-in-one handgun kit that contains everything a beginning shooter would need for a day at the range, including a full-size SIG Sauer 1911 pistol with a match-grade barrel, hammer and sear, Ergo XT polymer grips and optional accessory rail. For accessories, TACPAC kit includes a SIG Sauer roto-paddle holster, allen wrench, speed loader, a hard-sided carrying case, and either two or three magazines. Full specifications are listed below.

The SIG Sauer 1911-22 is a .22-caliber rimfire pistol much in the same vein as the Browning 1911-22 or the Umarex Colt .22-caliber 1911, designed to offer realistic practice and plinking with more economical .22 LR ammunition. the SIG Sauer 1911-22 is available in Flat Dark Earth or Olive Drab finishes and includes a "U.S." engraving on the checkered walnut grips.

For additional information on either the SIG 1911 TACPAC or the 1911-22, please visit the SIG Sauer website.
