Claimed to equal or exceed the flash suppression effectiveness of the best single-function flash suppressors, the White Sound Defense FOSSA-556 also vents gasses away from the ground to limit dust disturbance and minimize muzzle rise, allowing faster shot-to-shot recovery.

Results are achieved by redirecting propellant gasses between the specially designed prongs and tapered vents. In addition, the FOSSA-556 is also designed to eliminate the ringing sound associated with some open-prong devices.

The FOSSA-556 is machined from 17-4PH stainless steel and is available with either titanium aluminum nitride or black oxide surface coating. Threading is standard ½-inch x28 t.p.i. to fit most ARs and many other .223 Rem/5.56x45 mm NATO rifles. Price: $99-$109.
