A homeowner in the city of Green, Ohio, defended himself and his property from a burglar who attempted to steal from him twice on Feb. 27, 2021.

The incident started earlier that Saturday when the homeowner encountered a man on his property who was attempting to steal his ATV. The homeowner managed to make the man leave, but not without being threatened by the man as he fled. This was just the beginning of the encounter.

The man returned to the property a short time later, and this time, attempted to enter the residence. The homeowner once again confronted the would-be burglar, retrieving a firearm and warning him verbally to not continue. The homeowner also told the burglar that he had called the sheriff's office and deputies were on the way.

However, despite these warnings, the burglar continued to get closer to the homeowner. As the burglar got closer, the homeowner shot the burglar and subdued him until deputies arrived shortly after. The Green Fire Department transported the burglar to the Summa Akron City Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and he is facing criminal charges pending the conclusion of the investigation. (cleveland19
