Armed Citizen® Today

A couple stopped in Arlington, Texas, for gas during the early morning hours of Feb. 9. As the man pumped the fuel, however, a woman armed with a knife approached and allegedly began attacking his vehicle with his wife still inside. The man withdrew toward another vehicle, but the woman followed and again began striking that vehicle. The man produced his firearm and warned the woman verbally not to approach, but she reportedly continued to move toward him, whereupon he shot her once in the leg. The 58-year-old suspect was taken to the hospital in serious condition; no charges had been filed at the time of reporting. (wfaa.com, Dallas, Texas, 2/9/26)

Dennis Brown of Atlanta, Ga., killed a second robber at the Atlanta, Ga., hotel where he works. Brown and a co-worker went to investigate an activated car alarm in the parking lot and brought a suspect back into the office. When the man pulled a pistol and opened fire, both hotel employees returned the favor with their own guns, killing the gunman. (The Journal-Constitution, Atlanta, Ga.)
