The company that invented the revolver obviously has a great name. Colt has formed strategic partnerships with companies on products other than guns, including one with Double Tap ammunition. There are 14 loads in the line, which include National Match and Tactical. Mike McNett, president of Double Tap, told American Rifleman’s Mark Keefe that the loads are matched so that the National Match loads will ballistically duplicate the tactical loads so the recoil will be very similar. But McNett also said that the loads are on the milder side to make them more pleasant to shoot. Learn more in this video from Industry Day at the Range with Mark Keefe.
