SHOT Show 2017: HK VP9 Tactical Pistol

Sometimes Heckler & Koch gets no respect. The German company was the first to offer a polymer-frame, full-size, striker-fired 9 mm service pistol with its VP70. And it has been a leader in suppressed handguns. Every heard of the Mk 23 Mod 0?

The H&K VP9 made its debut in 2014, and it was two things H&K wasn't well known for at the time—the gun was striker-fired and affordable (well, by H&K standards). The polymer-framed gun has an excellent trigger pull, excellent ergonomics and a truly customizable grip frame with an ingenious stock panel system. Now you can add a threaded barrel to the list of options with the introduction of the VP9 Tactical in both 9 mm and .40 S&W. And, of course, the thread pattern is metric. American Rifleman's Mark Keefe shot the 9 mm version. Watch it here, and for more visit hk-usa.com.
