Rock River Arms introduced its first-ever .17 HMR AR-style rifle in 2024, rounding out a rimfire line-up that already includes .22-cal. chamberings in the LAR-22. Building a reliable .17 HMR-chambered semi-automatic rifle has been a challenge for many manufacturers, and Rock River Arms tackled the problem by building its .17 HMR around a gas-impingement, delayed-blowback system designed to reliably cycle 15.5- and 20-grain projectiles.

Each Rock River Arms .17 HMR rifle includes the company's two-stage NM Ultra Match trigger, as well as Magpul furniture and RRA's 15" free-float handguard complete with M-Lok accessory-attachment points. A 10-round magazine comes with each rifle.
