At SHOT Show 2024, Henry Repeating Arms introduced what the company said would be a game-changing design in the lever-action world—the Henry Lever Action Supreme. Though slated to be on the market in 2024, the Lever Action Supreme is finally making its way to dealers’ racks in January of 2025. At SHOT we did a preview video of the new rifle on the range. Here’s an update of the latest specs and pricing.

Despite making a plethora of firearm designs, from pistol-caliber semi-auto carbines to revolvers, at the core of the Henry company are lever-action rifles. Up to now, most of these rifles were traditional designs with underbarrel tube magazines and external hammers. Henry shifted that paradigm with the Long Ranger, a detachable box magazine-fed lever-action that came chambered in cartridges typically used in semi-automatic and bolt-action rifles.

Left side of the Henry Lever Action Supreme Rifle. The Lever Action Supreme packs in patented technology, like a smooth, rotating, multi-lug bolt action, free-floating barrel, and match-grade adjustable trigger.

According to Henry, the Lever Action Supreme “sets new standards for quality, performance, and precision for the time-honored platform…and…represents the culmination of over 150 years of lever-action evolution and Henry’s exploration of cutting-edge manufacturing technology and techniques.” Like the Long Ranger, its detachable box-magazine allows the barrel to be free-floated. Henry says this leads to a sub-m.o.a. accuracy potential, which we were able to achieve with the Long Ranger.

The action of the Lever Action Supreme uses a quad-bar linkage and slider crank mechanism to work the multi-lug, rotating bolt, with an internal hammer. Shootability is aided by an adjustable “match grade” trigger. Controls, including a sliding tang-safety and a paddle-type magazine release, are ambidextrous.

The Lever Action Supreme comes with barrel-mounted iron sights, including a patented fully-adjustable trapezoidal-notch rear sight and blade front sight. The receiver is drilled and tapped for optic mounts and fits Marlin-pattern bases.

Henry sticks to tradition when it comes to the Lever Action Supreme’s finish. Its stock and fore-end are made of checkered American walnut. The aerospace-grade aluminum receiver has a black hard-anodized finish and the steel barrel is blued.

The Lever Action Supreme is available chambered in .223 Rem./5.56 NATO or .300 Blackout. Versions in 5.56 NATO have a 18” barrel with its muzzle threaded 1/2x28 TPI, while the .300 Blackout version has a 16.5” barrel with its muzzle threaded 5/8x24 TPI. Both use AR-15/STANAG-pattern magazines and ship with a 10-round PMAG with a five-round limiter to comply with hunting restrictions in certain jurisdictions. Both rifles weigh about 6.5 lbs.

Front and rear sight of the Henry Lever Action Supreme Rifle. The Lever Action Supreme comes with its muzzle threaded for mounting supressors and other accessories. It used a post front sight and a patented fully-adjustable rear sight.

The Henry Lever Action Supreme has an MSRP of $1,300 in either chambering.
