Modular AR Carbine—or MARC for short—is an adaptive family of rifles offered by Colt. Following the success of its LE901-16S, Colt has added to the flexibility of the line by expanding the family with new variants, including the LE901-16SE (shown in the video above). The 16SE features a monolithic upper receiver and customizable fore-end; ambidextrous controls; a free-floated barrel; direct gas-impingement operation; a 16.1” heavy contour chrome-lined barrel; a bayonet lug and flash suppressor; and comes chambered in the ubiquitous .308 Win. With the help of a simple conversion kit (sold separately) the rifle can adapt to any Colt upper receiver chambered in 5.56 NATO (.223 Rem.). The additional members of the MARC family—the AR901-16 and LE901-16S—can be seen at Colt.com.
