CMP M1911 Pistol Sales

As of January 2025, the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) had resumed sales of surplus U.S. Army M1911/M1911A1 pistols to qualified U.S. citizens.

The CMP noted that it currently holds “a substantial inventory” of all grades of pistols and expects to be able to fulfill a significant quantity of orders for the foreseeable future.

Unlike earlier sales, going forward CMP will not be implementing the Random Generated Number order process for sales. Round Four orders have been prioritized, and after these orders are fulfilled, the organization will accept new orders on a first-come, first-served basis.

A lifetime purchase limit of two pistols per customer remains in effect.
