Captsone Precision

In 2017, VihtaVuori, Lapua, SK and Berger were brought together to found the Capstone Precision Group, ensuring that each brand could benefit from unified leadership and experience. In 2022, along with Geissele Automatics, Capstone announced that it had joined the Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturer’s Institute (SAAMI) as Supporting Members, giving the companies full access to SAAMI firearms and technical standards, as well as the organization’s reference ammunition program assessments.

“SAAMI is pleased to welcome Capstone Precision Group and Geissele Automatics as Supporting Members,” said Joe Bartozzi, SAAMI’s president and CEO. “They are joining a long list of leading manufacturers who are at the forefront of promoting firearm safety by the creation of standards that ensure the safety, reliability and interchangeability of firearms and ammunition.”
