SHOT Show 2020: SIG Sauer CROSS Rifle

One of the big introductions found at SHOT Show 2020 came from SIG Sauer: the CROSS Rifle. This ground-breaking introduction represent's SIG's first U.S.-made bolt-action rifle, and the receiver design is unlike most other bolt-action rifles found on the market.

Instead of using a standard receiver bedded inside a stock or chassis, the SIG Sauer CROSS rifle uses a single-piece aluminum receiver that bears similarities to the AR platform. The barrel attaches to the receiver using a barrel nut, allowing it to be free-floated and making it possible to get barrel-change kits in the future.

For all the details on the new SIG Sauer CROSS rifle, check out our American Rifleman First Look video above.
