Adaptive Tactical LLC has released its EX Performance Tactical Light Forend. Designed for use on the Remington 870 12-ga. and Mossberg 500 & 88, 590 and 590M 12-ga. (pump) shotguns, Adaptive Tactical's fore-end light is designed for personal defense and law enforcement applications in low light conditions.
The AA-powered 300-lumen flashlight integrates easily into the fore-end body, and can be installed by the owner. The mechanism has a run time of up to three hours, and is toggled between its three illumination settings (Momentary On, Constant On and Rapid Strobe) by an ambidextrous On/Off button. In terms of construction, the light features a tempered-glass lens and an aluminum bezel with a defense chamfer edge, housed in a weatherproof, reinforced-polymer housing with a patented, no-tool quick-detach rail clamp. The flashlight-portion of the fore-end system is also removable, leaving the two inches of Picatinny rail free to be used with another accessory, or simply covered with the included cap when not in use.
