The FN FNX-45 Tactical FDE is a full-size, hammer-fired, .45 ACP-chambered self-loading pistol that is suppressor- and optic-ready. Regarding the latter, the pistol utilizes a set of raised, three-white-dot sights for aiming, and the slide has been cut for an optic. Furthermore, the Tactical model of the pistol comes with an extended, 5.3” barrel that is threaded and capped with a protector. The pistol feeds from a 15-round detachable box magazine, making it a capable home defender and enjoyable range gun. Course texturing and removable, textured backstraps are also included, as is a section of Picatinny rail on the dustcover for accessories. Additionally, FN takes ambidexterity very seriously, and with its FNX series of pistols, the company provides a solid option for both left- and right-handed shooters by way of bilateral safeties, slide stops and magazine-release buttons.
