The Browning Buck Mark pistol began life in 1985 and replaced the company’s Challenger and International models. Over the course of 30-plus years, various iterations of the Buck Mark have come to market—from target to hunting models—and this week’s review pistol is a utilitarian plinker—the Camper UFX. Unlike the UDX and URX frames with finger grooves on the frontstrap, the Camper’s UFX frame has a straight-line frontstrap and lacks the backstrap radius of the other two frame designs. The Buck Mark Camper UFX features blowback operation, target-style adjustable sights, a 10-round detachable box magazine and a matte blued, tapered bull barrel. Additionally, the anodized aluminum frame has overmolded stock panels. To learn more about the rimfire repeater from Browning, check this week's NRA Gun of the Week video.
