Midland Arms is bringing to market the Backpack—a 12-ga., single-shot break-action shotgun that folds to a compact size—a design replicating Beretta’s discontinued Model 412 series. The scattergun is an incredibly versatile tool that can be used for myriad applications. Midland Arms says center-fire and rimfire barrels will be available soon, which will make this firearm a great option for the prepper, minimalist, hunter and weekend plinker. MSRP for the backpack and .410 bore and 20-gauge chamberings is about $150. To learn more, check out this week’s NRA Gun of the Week video hosted by American Rifleman’s Christopher Olsen.
