The M14/M1A family of rifles utilizes a combination flash hider/front sight base that has long made difficult the use of alternative muzzle accessories and suppressors with these venerable guns—unless the user was willing to forgo a front sight completely. However, Delta P Design’s M14/M1A Muzzle Adapter is a drop-in replacement sight base that is threaded 5/8x24 TPI, making it compatible with many .30-cal. muzzle accessories. Constructed of lightweight titanium, the Delta P adaptor mates with the barrel’s longitudinal grooves to ensure proper timing of all standard M1A/M14 front sights, and uses the factory castle nut to ensure a tight fit. Price: $205. Contact: Delta P Design; (503) 487-0007; deltapdesign.com.
