Known as the "Light Fifty's" baby brother, Barrett's Model 98B looks like an AR-style rifle in nearly every respect, save for its action. Rather than a semi-automatic, Barrett designed the 98B as a precision bolt gun for long-range accuracy. The 98B is essentially a semi-custom rifle available straight from the factory, as caliber (.338 Lapua Mag., .300 Win. Mag., 7 mm Rem. Mag., .308 Win., .260 Rem. and 6.5 Creedmoor), barrel length (16" to 26"), finish (five colors available) and accessories can all be selected by the buyer. Here Senior Executive Editor Brian Sheetz takes the 98B for a spin during range day at the 2015 SHOT Show. For more, visit Barrett.
