New Sierra Bullets
Sierra Bullets has announced its 2026 new product lineup. “Throughout 2024 and early 2025, we have been listening to the valuable feedback of our customers and consumers. Sierra has been focused on high ballistic coefficient (BC), heavy-for-caliber offerings and expanding our family offerings,” said Andrew Sparks, Sierra vice president of marketing and business development. “We have heard our consumer base loud and clear and are excited to deliver what they’ve been shouting for.”
Enthusiasts have been requesting heavy-for-caliber additions to the Tipped MatchKing family, in particular, and Sierra Bullets delivers in 2026. You’ll now find them in .22 caliber 88 grain, 6 mm in 107 grain, 6 mm in 115-117 grain*, .25 caliber in 133-135 grain*, 6.5 mm in 153 grain, 7 mm in 185 grain and .30 caliber in 220 grain. (*Weights were not finalized at press time, but will be determined by early 2026).
Sierra’s pre-eminent target bullet, the MatchKing, is manufactured to the very highest quality standards, resulting in accuracy acclaimed across the globe. For 2026 a 6 mm caliber 105-grain version has been added.
The company’s MatchKing-X is engineered for reliable expansion at midrange velocities. It delivers match-grade accuracy in a true hunting bullet. Its line has been expanded and now includes a .22-caliber 77-grain offering.
Tipped VarmintKing bullets are designed for explosive expansion in varmints and small game with the accuracy characteristics of MatchKings. The nose tips of these bullets are made of a proprietary acetyl resin compound, and the sharp tips improve the ballistic coefficient over the traditional flatbase spitzer bullet. New offerings include a .20 caliber 36 grain and .22 in 69 grain.
Tipped GameKings are hunting bullets that combine Sierra’s legendary match accuracy coupled with deadly penetration. Sierra re-engineered its legendary MatchKing hollow point bullet into a polymer-green-tipped design for quick expansion and ballistic uniformity. Additions include .22 caliber 69 grain, .25 in 131 grain and .30 in 195 grain.
A .40-caliber 200-grain version joins the Pro-Hunter lineup. Complete details and specifications on this and all the company’s products are available online.
In addition, there are a couple of name changes reloaders should not. Sierra’s Varminter line is changing to Sierra VarmintKing, and Sierra’s BlitzKing family is getting re-classified as the Sierra Tipped VarmintKing. Nothing about the products is changing—these are the exact same bullets the market has grown to trust and love. The family names are being updated to better align with current naming conventions.
