Magnum Research, maker of the Desert Eagle pistol, has launched a new custom-build website for its MagnumLite Rimfire (MLR) and SwitchBolt rifles. To celebrate, the company is giving away a custom MLR rifle and there is no cost to enter. Simply visit the special web page before July 31, 6 p.m. CST, provide your e-mail address, and you’re all set.

Certain limitations apply, and some of the firearm’s configurations may not be legal in California, Massachusetts and New York. The winner will be announced on the Magnum Research Instagram page on Aug. 1.

The new site offers a tool for rimfire enthusiasts in which they can create their perfect MLR SwitchBolt from start to finish with online graphics that reflect each detail as they are selected. This allows the customer to see exactly what their firearm will look like before placing an order. The website also offers the ability to create an account and contact the Custom Shop directly.

The MLR SwitchBolt was introduced in 2018 and is designed and manufactured in the United States. Its receiver is machined from a 6061-T6 forging with an integral Picatinny rail that receives a hard-coat anodizing to provide a long-lasting and durable finish. An ambidextrous bolt handle means trigger hands don’t need to leave the firearm when recharging the blowback-operated semi-auto. Lightweight and high performing, the series of rifles are chambered in .22 LR with a variety of barrel and stock combinations.

Choices in stocks alone include five versions, from synthetic to wood, camo, thumbhole and traditional. Enthusiasts can also select from 10 barrels, add a muzzle brake if wanted and there are five triggers from which to choose—including one each from Timney and Volquartsen.

Josh Eastman, from Beyond the Brand Media, developed the website, which is similar in function to the sites he tailored for the Desert Eagle and BFR, also from Magnum Research.
