A homeowner in Amarillo, Tex., was forced to defend himself when he was attacked by two robbers inside his home in the early morning hours of Jan. 4, 2021.

Sometime before 5:00 a.m. that Monday morning, the homeowner came across the first of the two robbers burglarizing his home and confronted the man. In response, the first robber attacked the homeowner and the two began fighting. Then, the second robber jumped into the fray and attempted to assault the homeowner. In response to the two attacking intruders and fearing for his life, the homeowner drew a handgun he had on his person.

The homeowner then shot the attacking robbers, killing both of them. Police were called to the scene around 5:19 a.m. where they discovered the two deceased robbers. The homeowner was interviewed by detectives and later released. The investigation of the incident is still ongoing. (newschannel10.com
