One of the most-popular stocks in the McMillan lineup has been its A-10 tactical stock, and one of the defining features of this all-fiberglass design has been the familiar butt hook designed to accommodate a support hand. Now, McMillan is answering the needs of bench-based shooters across America with its new Z-10 Bag Rider.

It's no secret that shooting bags are popular accessories in today's market. The advancements made by companies like Armageddon Gear and others in creating lighter, more utilitarian bags means that they're being used more by today's competition and casual shooters. The butt hook in stocks like the A-10 make it hard to use a rear bag, so McMillan Stocks redesigned this popular option with a swept butt profile that better accommodates the use of a bag.

Now, users can fine-tune their benched-and-bagged rifle's elevation by slightly adjusting the rear bag backward and forward. Of course, the stock also features other adjustable points, like cheek-riser height and length-of-pull. The vertical pistol grip incorporated into the design, along with left- and right-hand thumb shelves, aids shooters in obtaining a grip that ensures a straight, seamless pull to the rear without any left or right cant that results from a tightening grip wrapped around a stock wrist.

There are multiple color and finish options available in the McMillan Z-10 Bag Rider lineup, and the design is available to fit most Remington and Remington-style barreled actions, such as those from APA, Defiance, Bighorn, Stiller, Lone Peak, Surgeon, Ultimatum and others. With this inlet design, most compatible actions will drop in easily with little-to-no fitting required.

With a full inlet, the McMillan Stocks Z-10 Bag Rider starts at $603. Basic and flat inlets are available for less, and special finishes on the stock are available for an added price. For more information, visit mcmillanusa.com.
