Designed after numerous requests from its customers, the Smith Enterprise Good Iron M14 National Match Muzzle Brake’s profile mimics that of the original M14 flash suppressor, making it legal for use in CMP and other high-power rifle matches on guns such as the Springfield M1A. The two-piece design features a set-screw-secured front section of 8620 steel that mitigates recoil with a series of straight and angled holes threaded to a rear portion made from 1144 Stressproof cold-drawn barstock steel. The entire unit features a 60-Rockwell surface hardness, and is salt-bath nitrided for durability and corrosion resistance. It fits all standard M14-pattern muzzles using a standard castle nut and the included set screw. It also features a common front-sight deck height for use with U.S.G.I.-standard front sights. The Smith Enterprise Good Iron M14 National Match Muzzle Brake is available for $165. For more information, check out smithenterprise.com.
