If you need another example of a mother’s love, look no further than Nashville, Tenn., where a woman shot her boyfriend after he assaulted her youngsters. The mom told police she fired because her children were in danger. The children corroborated the story and had injuries from the attack. The boyfriend fled but was caught after he showed up at a medical facility. (wsmv.com, Nashville, TN, 7/15/18)

The Armed Citizen® Extra
When a man threatened the lives of passengers on a Greyhound bus, an armed passerby confronted the knife-wielding criminal. The bus was reportedly heading to Denver when a passenger threatened both the driver and fellow passengers with a knife. The aggressor gained access into the driver’s secured area and attempted to attack the driver while grabbing the steering wheel. Once the bus crashed, the attacker broke one of the windows and attempted to flee. Luckily, an armed passerby confronted the criminal, ordered him to drop the knife and held him until police arrived. Some passengers sustained minor injuries, and the aggressor faces multiple charges. (The Denver Post, Fountain, CO, 8/21/18)

September 1958
Dr. P.W. Bowman of Washington, D.C. was awakened at 5 a.m. by cries for help from the home of a 91-year-old neighbor. The 69-year-old doctor leaped from his bed, grabbed his pistol, and reached the street just as an armed man was coming from the neighbor’s house. He ordered the robber to drop his gun and held him at bay while his wife called police. Upon investigation, the police found the aged victim had been beaten and robbed.
