Jeff Cooper conceptualized the Scout rifle, and he likely would have appreciated the Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle for exactly what it is—a well-executed, reasonably affordable scout rifle from a major U.S. factory gunmaker. The .308-chambered Ruger Gunsite Scout, introduced in 2010, has also earned a place among scout rifle aficionados and converts alike.
