Browning’s new-for-2023 X-Bolt Target Max has all the right upgrades to make the most out of four of today’s successful chamberings. Built for serious work, the new Target Max comes with an entirely new receiver based on the X-Bolt design, only with more material for stiffer and more stable characteristics. A user-adjustable and -configurable stock, along with creature comforts and performance-enhancing upgrades throughout, make this a one-of-a-kind X-Bolt that is ready for the starting line.

“The new X-Bolt Target Max is truly an impressive compilation. We were able to push beyond the utter limit of the 6.5 mm Creedmoor out of the Target Max, across canyons and out to nearly a mile, and no matter the situation, the rifle performed flawlessly. The X-Bolt Target Max with great features, out-of-the-box performance and a friendly price, is sure to be an exciting option in 2023,” said Christopher Olsen, managing editor of American Rifleman.

From the top down, the X-Bolt Target Max comes equipped with the necessities for competing in long-range events. From its 20-m.o.a. Picatinny rail with beefy 8-40 TPI screws and recoil lug to its patent-pending, adjustable Target Trigger, Browning left no stone unturned. A 26” stainless steel barrel with bull contour comes standard, whether chambered for 6 mm Creedmoor, 6 mm GT, 6.5 mm Creedmoor or the .308 Win. Browning provides a polished chamber and includes its Recoil Hawg muzzle brake.

The adjustable MAX stock is versatile and can conform to myriad shooter types. The comb is height-adjustable to put your eye in perfect alignment with your scope. Length of pull spacers and an Inflex II recoil pad are also included. A Picatinny rail on the bottom of the forearm comes standard. The rail is also easily removable, and three secure mounting points make it easy to mount ARCA/Swiss rail (not included). Browning includes a skeletonized magazine well for AICS-pattern magazines and includes one extra-capacity magazine with the rifle. MSRP is $1,730. For more information, visit browning.com.
