To celebrate the National Rifle Association’s 154th birthday on Nov. 17, 2025, the Yavapai Amateur Radio Club (YARC) of Prescott, Ariz., will continue its tradition of a special radio callout while operating from Gunsite Academy’s 3,000-acre campus north of the city.
The special event’s call sign will be K7NRA, an FCC-licensed amateur radio station that will operate that day on the following frequencies from 0800 MST to 1700 MST: 7.250, 14.040, 14.250 and 21.335 MHz.
A unique NRA/Gunsite certificate will be available as an acknowledgement of communications for those stations that are contacted during the event. w7yrc.org
