When the Ruger Precision Rifle won the American Rifleman 2016 Golden Bullseye for "Rifle of the Year," we predicted line expansions and many new chamberings to come from a company that has "transformed the landscape of the American rifle industry," as noted by American Rifleman's Kelly Young. Ruger did, in fact, go on to chamber the RPR in many of today's most popular rounds such as 6.5 Creedmoor, and in 2018 it also launched a rimfire model, which earned it another Golden Bullseye as American Rifleman's 2019 "Rifle of the Year." Now the rifle is offered in magnum chamberings—.338 Lapua and .300 Win. Mag., which was the subject of another feature story by Kelly Young. It's a great read, but there's nothing like seeing the rifle up close and watching a few magnum loads being sent downrange. Watch our latest NRA Gun of the Week video as Kelly Young runs through the features that make the RPR chambered for .338 Lapua Mag. the latest hot ticket in the list of offerings from Ruger.
