DPMS President Randy Luth is so dedicated to the AR, he modified one to take for his most recent safari in Africa. The photographs chronicle his trophies and trials of the first recorded AR hunt on the the continent. From the article "An AR in Africa?"

Very nice leopard,but what were the problems getting an AR into Africa if any?I know it is a single shot but...?

I've enjoyed hunting, in California of all places, with my Dragunov SVD, M1A, and FAL. My 11 year old son told me yesterday that we should go out for opening weekend of deer season with my AR. I said, "Yep!". Its good to see someone else taking such fun rifles afield.
