SHOT Show 2018: SIG Sauer P365 Pistol

American Rifleman's Joe Kurtenbach had an opportunity to take the SIG Sauer P365 to the range today. It was a big deal. Of all the buzz so far this year, the P365 is leading the pack. This new micro compact is a game changer when it comes to small concealment pistols. It is a 10-round capacity gun with the flush-fitting magazine, and a 12-round magazine is also available. SIG Sauer designed a new magazine that starts as a double stack then tapers to a single stack, providing that on-board round count. And yes, they have several patents pending.

The gun remains about an inch wide, however it doubles the magazine capacity from some of its competitors. And as you can see from Kurtenbach at the range, this is a very shootable little gun. That’s not the case what some 9 mm pistols in this size class.

And the P365 builds upon lessons the trigger pull was quite smooth and consistent, helping to make this little gun one you might actually be willing to take to the range. Check out the video on the P365 here.

I have this old gun I want to shoot, but I’m not certain exactly what I have, and the gun appears to pre-date any description in the Blue Book Of Gun Values. The gun measures 43" overall, has a 26 9⁄16" barrel and its markings are as follows:
