    Johnson LMG also had it's influence on development of M60 machine gun. At least one of prototypes of M60 has some similarities with Johnson Model 1941, although possibly only cosmetic ones (handguard and front sight).     this is a fascinating video, the Johnson is not well publicized today; I had no idea they tried to switch from open bolt to closed bolt with a switch, that's two completely different operating systems, that looks like it was a complex effort that didn't pan out- interesting that anyone tried ! Thanks for this video, American Rifleman!
