Alaskan and former U.S. Marine Odean Hall is an avid outdoorsman who understands the demands placed on outdoor knives, yet believes that working knives can still be works of art. Each of Hall’s handmade custom designs—such as the one shown here, which features a blade made from a farrier’s rasp—is unique and limited only to the customer’s imagination. They range from hunting and skinning models to fighters. He works with 1095, 01 tool steel, and 52100 for high-carbon blades and with ATS 34 and 440C for stainless applications and makes guards and buttcaps from stainless, brass, bronze and nickel silver. Finishes include mirror-polished, brushed, bead-blasted and Cerikote. Hall also heat treats and tempers all his blades on site. Both leather and Kydex sheaths are available, with the former hand-tooled by Hall’s wife, Suzanne.
