Designed for concealed-carry, the Colt Lightweight Commander features a number of characteristics that make toting the pistol just as comfortable as shooting it. Weighing in at a mere 29 ozs.—aluminum construction helps shed some serious poundage—this pistol is deceptively light despite its full-size frame. As with most 1911s, the Lightweight Commander is chambered in .45 ACP, but can also be had in 9 mm Luger for those concerned with higher capacity and lighter recoil.
