When Springfield Armory launched its Hellcat Pro in 2022, it brought more capacity and capability in an easy-to-handle and easy-to-carry format for today's armed citizen. However, the one shortcoming that American Rifleman called out in its October 2022 review of the Hellcat Pro was the fact that the flush-fit 15-round magazine was the only option for the gun. There was no extended magazine available. Until now. Springfield Armory has officially released its 17-round extended magazine designed to work with the Hellcat Pro.

“At its launch in early 2022, the Hellcat Pro quickly established itself as a pre-eminent 9 mm EDC pistol for discerning users,” says Steve Kramer, vice president of marketing for Springfield Armory. “And with the addition of this new 17-round magazine, it has the benefit of even more capacity in a still extremely concealable package.”

The new Springfield Armory Hellcat Pro 17-round magazine provides space for two additional rounds over the 15-round magazine by incorporating an extended basepad that matches the contours of the Hellcat Pro's grip frame. The basepad measures less than 1/2" more than the 15-round flush-fit magazine, which means that those carrying the Hellcat Pro can get two more rounds in their CCW setup without giving up much in the way of space.

Springfield Armory's 17-round Hellcat Pro extended magazines are available with both black and FDE basepads to match black and FDE variants of the Hellcat Pro. All new Hellcat Pro pistols will ship with one 15-round flush-fit magazine and one extended 17-round magazine. Owners of Hellcat Pro pistols can also purchase additional 17-round magazine at the Springfield Armory online story. Suggested retail pricing on the magazine is $43.
