Wilson Combat Spec-Ops 9

Ever since Colt developed the Commander in 1949, the 1911 pistol has been modified, adapted, tweaked and improved for comfortable carry and easier concealment. Wilson Combat continues this trend with the Spec-Ops 9, a pistol based on the Commander-size platform but made even better for concealed carry through numerous modern enhancements.

The 9 in Spec-Ops 9 refers to the pistol’s chambering, that being the popular 9 mm Luger. 1911 fans may think of that as heresy, but remember, the Commander was originally introduced in 9 mm. Unlike the first Commander pistols, though, the Spec-Ops 9 holds 16 rounds in its double-stack magazine.

For that kind of money I could buy several Glocks, have them accurized, and still have money left over to become a life member of the NRA!

$2285? I could buy 3 SIGs with extras at this price. Besides, I'm not yet at combat with anybody and don't need such an overpriced weapon.

Lets see, it holds 16 rounds and costs $2285? One could buy 16 HiPoint POS pistols for that $.

The polymer frame should have cut the cost by over a $1000.00. Wilson Combat needs to get real!! Just buy a Browning HP and save ALL that money!!

A pistol called SpecOps without a rail? Love to have one but seems like a rail would be mandatory.

I'll admit to not being as knowledgeable about handguns as I could be. But that MSRP just seems high to me. My Kimber Classic was not even half that.

I stopped reading after the $2285 MSRP. Not practical.

That pistol, Wilson Combat made another awesome offering. It reminds me of the Colt Commander, yes but also the Browning Hi-Power in how the indention and tapering towards the barrel was done.
