Walther PPX

One of the toughest engineering challenges in the firearms business is fitting all the features a consumer wants into a modest price. Walther even admits as much in its 2013 product catalog. That didn't stop the company from succeeding, though, and in a big way with the new Walther PPX. The PPX features all of the features that you'd look for in a duty pistol, at a price well below its competition.

The PPX will be available in 9 mm and .40 S&W, and consumers will be able to choose between a black or a stainless finish to the slide. The 9 mm edition also has a model available with a threaded barrel. The 9 mm has a 16+1 capacity, compared to the .40 S&W's 14+1.

And the bottom line? A wallet-friendly $499.

Watch below as Walther's Mark Thomas breaks down what makes the PPX a gun to keep your eye on:

Just got a PPX. Shot a fue clips through it. It eat the Tul ammo and PMC up. It is a 9MM and you know there is little choice in ammo!! I got a UpLULA loader as the clips are quit stiff for my 'Arther' hands. I am vary happy with the gun.
