Despite sustaining severe damage from Hurricane Sandy, and being sidelined for 6 weeks, the Henry Repeating Arms factory is operating at peak performance, shipping a record 27,674 rifles in January.

“Consumers and many dealers thought we were out of business after the hurricane, so it’s important for them to know we are now 100 percent operational and have improved our capabilities to increase production,” said Anthony Imperato, president Henry Repeating Arms. “Considering we were virtually non-operational for several weeks this past fall, it is a testament to our dedicated and talented employees who rallied to this level of productivity. I salute and respect all of them.”

Dealers will see improved availability as the company continues to ship at this record pace. When asked about the intense demand for Henry’s historic lever action rifles Imperato credited it to, “consumer confidence valuing our American-made quality, and appreciation of our extraordinary customer service.” He emphatically believes it has nothing to do with the current surge in firearms sales.

The company’s primary manufacturing facility is in Bayonne, N.J., where they employ 160 people, with a second facility in Rice Lake, Wis., where they employ 90.
