New For 2024: Ruger MAX-9 4"

Ruger has expanded its MAX-9 handgun lineup with a literal expansion of the gun itself. The latest MAX-9 comes with a 4" barrel and a lengthened slide compared to the 3.2" barrel found on the original model.

To some people, it might sound illogical at first to make a dedicated concealed-carry pistol even larger, but in the case of the MAX-9, this lengthening does provide some additional benefits. Having nearly an extra inch of barrel allows users to squeeze some more capability out of their self-defense ammo, and the longer slide provides a lengthened sight radius, so those who rely on the open sights can be just that more precise with their shots, particularly at longer distances.

Watch our "New For 2024" video above to see the features on the new MAX-9, along with many elements that made the original pistol popular.
