Featuring a flat-nose, 1-ounce, copper-plated lead slug, Federal Premium’s 12-gauge, 2 3/4-inch Truball Deep Penetrator Rifled Slugs bore farther through a target than the company’s non-plated, hollow-point variants.

The slugs, which utilize the company’s patented Truball technology for optimum accuracy, are propelled to 1,350 fps, creating a muzzle energy of 1,772 ft.-lbs. Federal Truball Deep Penetrator Rifled Slugs are sold in five-count boxes for $6.

Checking various, not all but various, including Sluggers...Truballs gave me the best group...shots to head at 50' were very tight. As far as the 'kick'...would this indicate a tight seal and more efficient use of the force available.......hmmmm. Anyway I liked them..if and I say if..they are 'dirty'..who cares, unless you are just plinking?

Like the '2 deer' answer. :-[)] Elk, moose, bear...this is the kind of stuff that REALLY cuts down on my 'need a new gun' reasons to give my wife.

Awfully brief. Is it for rifled or smoothbore barrels? Can't hardly see anything in the picture.
