Ruger MAX-9 ReadyDot

Ruger offers a different take on the micro red-dot (MRD) with its ReadyDot, as the 1X reflex sight has no built-in electronics. Instead, the MRD uses a fiber-optic coil that gathers ambient light and directs it onto the lens, creating a large, easily seen 15-m.o.a. aiming dot.

Ruger now includes its ReadyDot atop the company’s MAX-9 pistol, giving consumers an easy-to-aim self-defense package right out of the box. The MRD co-witnesses with the mounted tritium-illuminated sights, providing a back-up sighting option, if needed.

Chambered in 9 mm Luger, the MAX-9 has a flush-fit magazine capacity of 10 rounds and is built with a low-profile thumb safety, along with a bladed trigger safety and an internal striker block. An extended 12-round magazine is also included.

MSRP for the Ruger MAX-9 ReadyDot is $489. For more information, visit ruger.com.
