North Carolina manufacturer Del-Ton is known for its affordable AR-15 build components, kits and complete firearms. New for 2024, the company is introducing its first conventional handgun with the DT20. “Conventional” may be a misnomer, as the DT20 has several unique features, in what the company calls “an expertly crafted pistol that packs premium features into a compact package.”

The DT20 is a micro-compact, semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9 mm Luger. The pistol uses a polymer frame and striker-fired action. The proprietary flush-fitting metal magazines have a capacity of 12 rounds, and two are supplied with each pistol. Unlike other micro-compact handguns that use a double-column magazine, the DT20’s magazine doesn’t “bottleneck” into a single column to allow for a slimmer grip. This is due to the DT-20's patented trigger system that does not use a trigger bar that passes by the magazine, but contains both the sear and striker in the slide. Due to this unique design, the slide is the serialized component.

The DT20 uses a 3.3” barrel. Its slide is made of stainless steel with a nitride finish and is under an inch wide. The pistol weighs 17 ozs. without the magazine. Controls on the DT20 are a left-side slide release and magazine release. The pistol does not have a manual safety. Its sights use a SIG-compatible dovetail, allowing owners to utilize many aftermarket sight options. Del-Ton is partnering with several holster manufacturers for model-specific carry equipment.

The Del-Ton DT20 has a MSRP of $499. For more information, visit del-ton.com.
