Armed Citizen® Today

One alleged robber is wounded and in police custody and two other robbers are missing after encountering an armed resident inside a Texas home during an attempted robbery.

In the early hours of Sunday, Jan. 28, 2024, a Houston, Texas, man was getting out of his car near his home when he was set upon by three alleged burglars. The armed trio forced the man up to the front door of his home. Another resident inside the house observed the situation, armed himself and began firing at the threatening suspects.

After a brief exchange of gunfire, all three alleged robbers fled the scene. Police arrived on scene shortly after the incident and tracked down one of the suspects in a nearby neighborhood. The man had suffered gunshot wounds in both legs and one arm and was transported to a local hospital. Police are still searching for the other two suspects.
