Holosun released a new line of red-dot sights, specifically designed for mounting and use on handguns. Called the Enclosed Pistol Sight, or EPS, the line includes a standard model as well as an EPS CARRY model of slightly smaller size to better fit concealed-carry handguns. Both models have an enclosed sight window, hence the name, contained within a 7075 T6 aluminum housing topped off with an anodized finish.

The standard EPS model measures in at 1.62" long, 1.19" tall and 0.99" wide, with a window size of 0.63" by 0.91". As for the EPS CARRY model, its height is only 1.07" with a width of 0.95", along with a window size of 0.58" by 0.77". Both versions of the EPS use a 6 m.o.a. dot as the reticle, with options for red or green colored LEDs. The glass on the front window is multilayer reflective, and the sight picture is parallax free with unlimited eye relief.

Both EPS models are powered by a single CR1620 battery, with up to 50,000 hours of use depending on the setting. There is also a built-in Solar Failsafe panel on top of the housing, which offers additional power. For ease of use, the battery is accessed through the side of the optic, rather than from the bottom, allowing it to be changed without removing the EPS from the host pistol.

Controls on the EPS include two rubberized brightness buttons on the left side of the housing, as well as an elevation and windage adjustment on the rear portion, which offer 1.5 m.o.a. adjustments per click. There are eight daytime settings and four night-vision settings built into the EPS and controlled through the brightness buttons, as well as a Shake Awake feature that powers on the optic when moved.

For durability, the EPS is rated for working in temperatures between -30 degrees to 60 degrees Celsius and is also IPX8 submersion rated. The red LED models of the EPS and EPS CARRY have a retail price of $435.28, while the green LED versions have a retail price of $458.81.
