Survey Indicates Millions Of New Gun Owners, Changing Demographics
Based off of data from the FBI’s National Instant Background Check System, the National Shooting Sports Foundation estimates that there were 14 million new firearm owners who made their first purchase over the past two years.

Gun sales increased 80 percent over 2019 numbers, and 40 percent of buyers are first-time gun owners, according to surveys.
