It seems that in nearly every magazine issue we find ourselves featuring examples of the ways in which firearms both enrich our lives and protect our freedoms—and this one is no exception.

Various banks, credit card companies and shippers have recently implemented policies that will unnecessarily, and unjustly, restrict the Constitutionally recognized Second Amendment rights of gun owners.

Whether in guns themselves or the cartridges they chamber or in optics or other firearm accessories, mechanical and material science innovations are key.

For the entirety of this nation’s existence, Americans have depended upon firearms to ensure our survival.

The firearm industry has been a part of America since its founding, and while many companies have come and gone, a few have been on the scene for a century or longer.

Let’s be clear: We are the good men and women of America. We are parents, military veterans, law-enforcement officers, first responders, teachers, union workers, truck drivers, home owners and armed citizens ready to stand up against evil. We are the law-abiding who support law and order. We are the backbone of the USA! 

It seems that nearly every month we hear of increasing numbers of Americans who, motivated by domestic and international circumstances, are taking steps to embrace their individual right to keep and bear arms.

Just when it seems the firearm industry has exhausted itself by way of striving to keep up with demand for existing models, it’s a pleasant surprise to learn that, behind the scenes, engineers and marketing folks have been working on new offerings that have either been created from whole cloth, are significantly revised or are unfamiliar to the American market.

English poet William Cowper is credited with the phrase “Variety is the spice of life, that gives it all its flavor.” That is certainly the case for firearm enthusiasts, who purchase new guns for a wide range of reasons, including hunting, competition, plinking, self-defense and collecting.
